After 30 years of teaching, it was time to move in a different direction. That direction led me to my other love and passion. I looked at my 50-years of sports collectibles and the answer was right in front of me.

Growing up in South Bend and my love for the University of Notre Dame were the keys to my inventory. Items from ‘30s-era statue busts in my extensive Rockne collection, to present-day items, were logged and marked for sale.

With help from my brother John and son Andrew, Augie's Locker Room opened July 1, 2007. We are located a quarter-mile from Notre Dame at 1811 South Bend Ave. Many of our items have been displayed in various museums, including: South Bend Center for History in the exhibition “Rockne: Crossing the Last Chalk Line;” the History Museum in the exhibition: "The House That Rockne Built: Notre Dame Stadium," and the College Football Hall of Fame.

We have an exclusive Jerry McKenna Rockne bust which contains metal from a carriage made by Rockne's dad Lars, a piece of the ill-fated plane that crashed with Rockne on board, and a piece of the Golden Dome (Main Building).

Come view the Rockne Room and see many more one-of-a-kind vintage memorabilia. If we can answer any questions for you, don't hesitate to contact us. Go Irish!
